The 34rd Annual Baltimore Summer Antiques Show will return to the Baltimore Convention Center August 21-24, 2014. Produced by the Palm Beach Show Group, the show attracts tens of thousands of knowledgeable collectors and respected dealers from around the world who travel from as far as Dubai, Brussels and Beijing to purchase from the extensive array of merchandise offered by more than 575 prominent exhibitors, many of which are the world's foremost experts in their respective fields. The Baltimore Summer Antiques Show is the largest indoor antiques show in the country, offering guests access to aisle after aisle of fine art, furniture, Asian art, American and European silver, jewelry, porcelain, glass, textiles, American folk art and more, ranging from the antiquities to the 20th century.

In addition to exploring the more than 200,000 items on display on the show floor, guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy the show's free, public lecture series headlined by exhibiting dealers and industry experts. Another highlight of the event will be the 90-dealer Antiquarian Book Fair within the show that will feature rare books, first editions, autographs, fine manuscripts and unusual bibliographical material.

34th ANNUAL BALTIMORE SUMMER ANTIQUES SHOW FACT SHEET

• Known among dealers and collectors as the most important silver show in the nation, the Baltimore show has over 30 leading silver specialists ranging from early coin, Georgian, Irish, Russian and Victorian to local Baltimore Stieff, modern Louis Tiffany and George Jensen.
• In efforts to continue the success of the Baltimore Summer Antiques Show, the Palm Beach Show Group actively recruits new dealers to maintain diversity. The 34th annual Baltimore Summer Antiques Show will feature over 90 new dealers from the United States, United Kingdom and Italy.
• The event offers more than 200,000 individual items for purchase from a variety of genres including: fine art, jewelry, silver, porcelain, Americana folk art, decorative accessories, furniture, glass, textiles and more ranging from the antiquities to the 20th century.
• The Baltimore Summer Antiques Show features items with a range of price points. Show guests can discover many great items ranging from $100 to museum quality treasures with values of more than $1,000,000.
• The show boasts a strong trade and retail component. In fact, many antique dealers consider the show to be one of the best shows for acquiring inventory for the upcoming holiday season.
• In 2012, approximately 35,000 knowledgeable collectors, dealers, designers and guests from all over North America, Europe, South America, Canada and Asia attended the show. The rare combination of diversity, first-class quality and affordable prices can be credited for attracting the large crowd.
• Due to increased attendance and popularity, the Baltimore Summer Antiques Show now encompasses the majority of the show floor of the Baltimore Convention Center to include 245,000 square feet of exhibitor space; there are two main entrances located at the West Pratt Street Lobby and Charles Street Lobby for shopping enjoyment and convenience of attendees, two full-service restaurants on the show floor and a coffee bar located inside the Antiquarian Book Fair.
• The Baltimore Summer Antiques Show was acquired in October 2005 by the Palm Beach Show Group—owners and operators of the prestigious Palm Beach Jewelry, Art & Antique Show, February 14-18, 2014; Naples Art, Antique & Jewelry Show, February 6-10, 2014; the DALLAS International Art, Antique & Jewelry Show, November 7-11, 2013; LA Art Show, January 15-19, 2014 and the Los Angeles Jewelry & Antique Show February 15-19, 2014. Since 2005, the Palm Beach Show Group has elevated the quality and reputation of the Baltimore show and has tripled attendance figures.
• The Baltimore show has a positive impact on the local economy generating millions of dollars in sales taxes and wages both directly from the show and at related area businesses.
• Additionally, over 2,500 verifiable rooms at local hotels, with a "guesstimate" of closer to double that number, are booked for dealers and show attendees.
• The first Baltimore Summer Antiques Show took place in 1980, just months after the grand opening of Harborplace, and was one of the first major events to be held in the new Baltimore Convention Center. The show is the second- longest running event at the Baltimore Convention Center.
